World: Europe: Britain: London: The British ParliamentLegislative body of the British government. Meets in the Houses of Parliament, built on the banks of the Thames between 1840-1857, which contain the House of Lords and the House of Commons, in addition to eleven quadrangles and 1,100 apartments, and three towers: The Clock Tower (with Big Ben), the Middle Tower, and the largest of the three, Victoria Tower.MUSG: Reginald Musgrave told Holmes that "I have of course had the Hurlstone estate to manage, and as I am a member for my district as well, my life has been a busy one." which presumably means that he was one of the two Members of Parliament elected at large to represent Western Sussex. SECO: Eduardo Lucas's home on Godolphin street was in Westminster, between the river and the Abbey, almost in the shadow of the great Tower of the Houses of Parliament. Notes: Moffett Studio, c1909.
